Glen Isla House was the winner of the HMAA Excellence in Luxury Boutique Accommodation award on 22nd August 2007 at a gala dinner in Melbourne.  The sought after awards are judged by peers in the accommodation industry and recognise excellence.  The Hotel Motel & Accommodation Association (HMAA) is the respected & peak accommodation industry body.  Owners, Ian and Madeleine received the award and were congratulated personally by the Victorian Minitser of Tourism The Hon. Mr Tim Holding, MP.

 James Fremantle from Channel 7's Coxy's Big Break visited Glen Isla House with his film crew in March 2005.  Glen Isla House was featured in a segment on Victoria's cosiest places to stay on 17th April 2005
