Rates - Tariffs
We offer the same tariff/rate all year
round - any day of the year. We do not put a loading our tariff's for the summer
period or at weekends like most properties.
Please note this is a heritage
property with historic wells and a large unfenced fish
pond. We have no facilities for children under
the age of 12 years!
(Glen Isla House is an adult-style
retreat - we welcome children 12 years and older)
Our tariffs are quoted in Australian
Dollars - inclusive of Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) and
all service charges.
Our rooms offer a hotel-style safe plus a small refrigerator for your
use, and are not 'mini-bars' with ridiculously

These are our published

Alas a modest increase has been made (our first
since January 2012) from 01JAN14 to cover
continued cost increases we've experienced in electricity and gas, council rates
and land taxes and food costs. We have recently installed a
4.3KW solar system in the business in an attempt to
contain the electricity cost increases. Time will
tell if we've been successful!
Despite massive increases in Land Tax
State Governments over a number of years on our historic
heritage property, we're still able offer refined and elegant
accommodations at our historic property.

overnight stay for two guests, including our special
breakfast (cooked gourmet or continental) breakfast.
Breakfast is preapred in our professional restaurant kitchen,
inspired and preapred by our resident professional chefs & served in our restaurant-style dining room at your
Heritage Suite Cottage (Our genuine historic/heritage accommodation
offering - c1870)
mahogany bed, period furnishings, Persian rugs,
private en-suite facilities, gas log fire, Jacuzzi/corner
spa bath and 40" HDTV. A separate heritage
cottage dating back to 1870 offering grand old-world
charm and refined elegance.

Queen-size beds (one
twin single beds as an option), modern private en-suite facilities,
walk-in dressing/luggage room and extensive garden
vistas. Purpose-architected rooms in our Glen Isla
House guest wing offering separate entrance, elegant
interior décor and sunny deck veranda with outdoor
café settings. All with LCD TV/DVD. -

We offer Classic Deluxe Rooms and the Heitage Suite
on a room only (excluding chef's breakfast) on certain

Elegant & Stylish Self-Cater
|The Gate Cottage
Two-bedroom, two-storey self
contained/self-cater elegant cottage set in the
heritage gardens adjacent
to two 100-year old oak trees. Rates are per
night - Accommodation Only/Self Cater basis.

The Gate Cottage is offered
on a "self-cater" (Accommodation Only) basis - we provide
tea/coffee and milk. There are three good
supermarkets in Cowes nearby for provisions. The
Cottage accommodates up to 4 adults.
Note there are 17 steps up to the bedrooms (they are
facilities are generally unsuitable for children. Two-night
minimum stay at all times.
For stays of 7 days or more, a mid-stay room
service is included in the tariff. For stays of
less than 7 days, room servicing is available as

kitchen tidy-up (no dishes included) and bathroom
amenities replenished. AUD$65.00 per service

The Fine Print
For our hosted accommodations (Glen Isla
Classic Deluxe Rooms and Anderson Heritage Suite), one-night stays are welcome!
do note we have a minimum night stay policy on long weekend/public holiday weekends and
certain special events weekends.
The Gate Cottage is a 2-night minimum stay at all
times. (4 night minimum over Christmas/NewYear)
We cater for dietary requirements.
Our chefs are experienced in special dietary requirements,
but PLEASE ADVICE US 48 hours IN ADVANCE so we can

Our booking and cancellation policy
We require valid credit card details (or payment of one nights
tariff in advance) to secure
a booking/reservation. (We do not accept tentative
A deposit is not required (unless your reservation
is not able to be secured by a valid credit card). When
your booking is CONFIRMED and secured by a valid credit
card, we guarantee your reservation and we will hold your
Cancellation of a confirmed
reservation/booking up to 7 full days before the day of arrival
will incur an administrative charge of AUD$50.00 per room at
Cancellation within 7 days of arrival,
will incur one nights accommodation (at the tariff for the
booked room) charge as cancellation fee regardless of the reason
for the cancellation, unless we are able to resell the room.
A no-show (non-arrival without prior notification) for a confirmed booking will
incurr the full cost
of all booked nights that we are unable to resell..
We accept Cash, EFTPOS (for Australian Card Holders), Visa
and MasterCard as settlement.
We also accept AMEX and Diners, but
please note we will charge a 3% levy
on AMEX and Diners payments to cover the additional
merchant fees and handling costs associated with American
Express and Diners Club transactions. We regret we are
unable to accept cheques at check-out time.
NON SMOKING Policy
All inside areas including our rooms and bathrooms etc are absolutely
NON SMOKING at all times.
Should we determine that guests
have been smoking in our room areas, we will charge a minimum
of AUD$600 to have the room professionally stripped, cleaned
and sanitised. If we are unable to re-let the room. while
it is being refurbished/sanitised, we reserve the right to charge the
ruling daily tariff for those nights also. It is a condition
of staying with us that you agree to our non-smoking policy
(otherwise we suggest you find other accommodations - we are
passionate about this aspect of our business and make no
apologies for this policy). Providing it does not
interfere with the enjoyment of other guests, we have no
objection to guests smoking in the garden areas away from the
